Amazing service, owner came by the table & the waitress checked on us several times! Food was amazing, fresh & fast! The place is very clean and unique!

Came across it by complete coincidence as we were driving through this town. It has really good breakfast and brunch food by the way! It used to be a bank with several vaults still intact, one of them actually has tables and chairs and you can sit and eat there (but it was too hot so we didn't). Nice to take a look.

Rob and his staff provide a local flavor. My favorites are the Good as Gold, Chicken Salad, and Veggie Omelette, but you can’t go wrong. Must stop if you’re in the area!

Excellent food, friendly crew and great atmosphere. I cannot say enough good things about them. They keep us coming back every week!

This is our “go to” place after church! The omelettes are huge with tons of cheese and veggies and meat with crispy hash browns. The wait staff is always pleasant and you can count on a personal greeting at the door every time

Been in Marion 5 years and never knew it existed!!! Amazing!!! What an awesome escape from chain restaurants!!! Atmosphere takes you to somewhere else!!! LOVE it and now it's my husband's must have every weekend!!!

This was our first time at The Vault, and we will definitely be coming back! Not from in town, so we had no idea that this restaurant was in an old abandoned bank! So cool! We were greeted at the door by the owner, who was very personable, and seated us right away. The staff was all very friendly, and the food was amazing! Not to mention, it was all very Well priced for its portions! Such a great breakfast!

Visited the Vault on December 14th with my mom and grandmother. Very short wait to be seated, but it was unusually cold inside the restaurant. We ordered the Stack of Hash with corned beef, Eggs Benedict and Strawberry stuffed French toast. All of the food was good, coffee was not great. I would definitely go back for the hashbrowns. The atmosphere did not match the food, which to me seemed like something you might eat after a night of drinking. Very heavy and filling, but still satisfying.

Really good breakfast. I'm not a fan of French toast but I tried it anyways. It was good, but still hasn't changed my mind. Everything else was perfect. Gonna do lunch next.

Marion State Savings & Loan Bank didn't survive the bank runs of the Great Depression, but its building and vault did. Today, it is a cafe in the downtown Marion square. Most people eat in the bank area because they like being surrounded by people and are claustrophobic. I decided to eat inside the vault itself which really wasn't any different than sitting inside a jail cell. It's a much better experience. Kids bring dollars and quarters to leave inside the vault. The owner couldn't be any more friendlier and sells The Vault Cafe shirts to raise money for farms in Haiti. Highly recommended!

Came for lunch but had breakfast and it was very good. Everything that I saw looked good!

Atmosphere and food was great. Talked to the owner and got the history of the cafe. We actually ate in the vault itself. I had the tomato pesto soup it was delicious. Also had salad.

The vault is amazing! Food is great, people are friendly and a cool setting. Love supporting a local business.

Unique setting. Went for a birthday lunch, with friends. Seemed like a somewhat limited lunch menu. I had the Reuben which was very very tasty! The remainder had Patty melts that they said we're good. Limited selection of sides, but the slaw I had was delicious. May try again for breakfast sometime.

It was ok I didn't eat my eggs I ask for over easy and the yoke was fully cooked I only ate the bacon sausage n potatoes

Rob is great, and he makes amazing food. The place has a cool feel to it, and everything is always prepared exactly how I ask. They have monthly specials and even holiday-themed giant pancakes. He even caters special events upon request, we had a wedding reception there and the food was amazing.

We go to The Vault Cafe for the excellent customer service and smiles as soon as we walk in the door! They have great breakfast choices and yummy sandwiches. And you can’t beat their fresh and giant salads!!

When you place your breakfast order - also place an order for lunch !! Last week I ordered the Bank Roll for breakfast and a Reuben for lunch :) Shop Local and support our local small businesses !!! The Vault Cafe has an unique setting inside a former bank. You can actually eat in the vault! Their breakfasts are the best in southern Illinois , especially their omelets and pancakes (huge!) I also enjoy their French dip at lunch, Cobb salad and hamburger on a pretzel bun. Friendly owners are always present ! Support our local businesses !
